Statement of Faith

We believe in one God,
     the Father Almighty,
     Maker of heaven and earth,
     of all things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ,
     the only Son of God, the brightness of the Father's glory and the express image of His person
     begotten from the Father before all ages,
          God from God,
          Light from Light,
          true God from true God,
     begotten, not made;
     of the same essence as the Father.
     Through Him all things were made.
     For us and for our salvation
          He came down from heaven;
          He became incarnate by the Holy Spirit in the virgin Mary
          and was made human.
          He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate;
          He suffered, died according to the Scriptures and was buried.
          The third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures.
          He ascended to heaven and was glorified.
          He is seated at the right hand of the Father.
          He will come again in glory to take His believing people home and
          to judge the living and the dead.
          His kingdom will never end.

And we believe in the Holy Spirit,
     the Lord, the Giver of life.
     He proceeds from the Father and the Son,
     and with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified as one God.
     He spoke through the prophets but now indwells His believers
 to help, to comfort,

     to teach and to lead in all truth and glorify the Son of God.

We believe in one holy true Christian and apostolic church of all times and all places.

     We believe this church is one body of Christ for which He is the head.

     We believe that believers in Christ are made kings and priests unto God and  have been made to sit with Him to rule and reign on earth in His name now.

We affirm

One baptism after being born again as a witnessing act about the believer being joined with Christ in the likeness of His death and in the likeness of His resurrection;

The breaking of bread as a witnessing act about the dependence of the believer on Christ for sustenance and continuous spiritual growth;

The washing of feet as a witnessing act about the believer's need for continuous cleansing by the Lord for transformation;

The continuous anointing of the Holy Spirit as an imperative for His divine direction, strength and control.

We look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the catching up of the saints at His coming, and to life in the world to come. Amen.
