I saw, I came, I conquered, I AM coming

A short (auto)biography of the Lord Jesus Christ

Chapter 5

Vidi - I saw

Our Eternal Purpose
We – God, His Word and His Spirit – are three entities but one indivisible substance – divine. Though We are singular in Our thought, will, and mind, We are plural in Our manifestation. I, the word of God, interact with my creation, especially the crowning glory of Our creation - man. I was foreordained to be the perfect representation of God as well as man. I am the Messiah, the Christ, the anointed One.

We had factored in the fall of Satan (and the subsequent fall of man) in Our plan. We wanted to show to Satan that the crown of Our creation, man, submits to his Creator willingly, not because of compulsion; mankind would believe Us unquestioningly; they would obey Us lovingly, not grudgingly; they would do God’s will joyfully, never their own. We will bring them in as Sons of God and these my brothers (and sisters who are given equal honour as men – no discrimination) would emit Our glory. I will share with them all that is mine; they will be coheirs with me to the riches of God; they will be with me forever.
We determined to revamp the earth that was corrupted by the subtle but serious sin called pride. I would demonstrate here what humility is.

As per Our eternal purpose and Our divine plan, We would create man who would be in Our likeness and display Our image. We would breathe Our life-giving spirit in him so that he would become a living soul in a physical body. Three entities but one indivisible substance – human. We would place him in Our garden Eden.

We knew that Our enemy would be after Us to upset Our purpose and throw every hurdle possible to hinder Our plan from succeeding. He would be after Our creation too, more importantly, man. This is because, mankind would be elevated to a status, much higher than what Satan lost – they would be God’s sons partaking of Our divine nature. (Satan never had this privilege of sharing Our divine nature; I created him and so he was called a son of God). We also knew that he would deceive man as he did the fallen angels earlier. Man would doubt Our goodness, disobey Our word and fall into sin and die as a result. A healthy relationship and life-filled communion between man and God would be broken because of unbelief. This is death in man’s spirit.

However, We purposed that I, the Word of God, would become flesh to shed Our blood for the forgiveness of the sins of mankind. I would be the ‘Lamb that was slain’ even before the foundation of the world. Those who believe in this work of Salvation that We have designed, would enjoy a thriving union restored with Us again. There will be a chosen generation that will be kings and priests unto God for ever. They will rule and reign over all creation with me and offer glory and unending praises to their Creator. We knew even before they are born, who would be partakers of this heavenly calling. So, God chose them in me even before the foundation of the world.

The Chosen would be holy and without blame before God in love: He predestined them unto the adoption of children by me to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made you folks accepted in me, the Beloved.

In me they have redemption through my blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace; wherein God has abounded toward them in all wisdom and prudence; having made known unto them the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself.

In the dispensation of the fulness of times God would gather together in one all things in me, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in me: in whom also the Elect have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of God Who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will: that you people who first trusted in me, should be to the praise of His glory.

We have sealed Our believers with the Holy Spirit of promise, which is the earnest / advance or guarantee of your inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of God’s glory.

“Behold I and the children which God hath given me”!
