There are nine planets (or eight?) in our solar family. The length of a day is different for each planet but is still measured with reference to Earth’s time. Venus has a reversed day – it rotates east to west (counter-clockwise when looking down from the North Pole). Breakfast in the evening, lunch at midday, and supper early morning. Sleep all night! (of course, w.r.t the earth). All the other planets except Uranus rotate in the west-to-east direction. Uranus cannot even have a day measurement as it is rotating in an axis tilted a little more than ninety degrees. (Hey Scientist, does not the law of conservation of angular momentum contradict this fact, and disproves your Big Bang theory?)

Again, the length of the year for every planet is different depending on how long it takes for each of the planets to go around the sun once – measured in terms of our year, of course. Earth takes a year while other planets have a shorter or longer one – with reference to our year. Time exists because our Earth exists as all time is calculated with reference to the Earth and its time.

Mercury, the planet closest to the Sun is called Budhan, Budh, and Woden (Wednesday); Venus is called Velli, Shukra, and Frige (Friday); Mars is called Chevvaai, Mangal; (Remember Mangalyaan, the vehicle sent to Mars by the Indian scientists sometime back?), Tiw (Tuesday); Jupiter is called Vyazhan, Guru, and Thor (Thursday); Saturn is called Sani / Shani (Saturday) in Thamizh, Sanskrit, and Roman / Anglo-Saxon languages respectively. All of these were worshipped as gods even before the 8th century BC as per the Bible; this abominable practice was carried into India by the invading Jewish Aryans –Jer 8:2; these planets are still worshipped as gods throughout the year by the naïve Indians; God condemns it. Guru peyarchi and Sani peyarchi are very significant celestial events when the respective planet moves into a certain constellation supposedly producing positive or negative effects on the lives of people on Earth and influencing their fortunes. The influence part of the previous sentence is considerable because religious Indians strongly believe these planets govern the good and the bad of all events in one’s life.
Even the Greek religion (an offshoot of the idolatrous Thamizh religion) had mythologies surrounding these planets, each considered as a god. Jupiter and Mercury are mentioned in the Bible as being worshipped by the Lycaonians– Acts 14:12, 13. and the Ephesians claimed that the goddess Diana’s stony image (a meteor!) was sent down (fell!) to earth by their Roman God Zeus (Sky) – Eph 19:35 even in the 1st Century AD. (Today’s Kabba stone?). If these are gods, who created these ‘gods’? Isn’t there a Creator?

Satan / Lucifer is mentioned as ‘the morning star’ or Venus. ‘The morning star’ is a name he has tried to usurp from Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and twist it to represent Venus as a goddess of human passion, sensuality, and fertility under various names – Aphrodite, Ishtar, Diana, and Sakthi / Kamakshi. (Satan has continuously tried to usurp many of the Lord’s names and assign it to deities that people worship in their idols viz., Ganapathy or Ganesh, ‘the Lord of the hosts’; Pillayar and Kumaran, ‘Son’; Vignesh, ‘the Lord of people in danger, oppression and trouble’; Suresh, ‘the Lord of the heavenly’; Purushothaman, ‘the sinless man’; Sivam and Shiv, ‘Love’; Vishnu, ‘the heavenly’; Vinayak(ar), ‘the one who triumphed over evil’; Jagannath / Viswanath, ‘the Lord of (heaven and) earth’; Krishna, ‘black’ or the ‘one who took the form of sinful flesh’; Mahesh or Mahadev, ‘the great Lord God’; Vaitheeswaran, ‘the Lord that heals’; Avinashi, ‘immortal’; Dakshinamoorthy, ‘the very image of God that came down’; Hariharan, ‘the one who defeated evil/death’; Buddha, ‘the old’ and ‘wise one’; Mahaveera, ‘the great warrior’, et al. But at the end of this age when time shall be no more, Jesus Christ will vindicate Himself as the Bright and Morning Star (Rev 22:16). Satan will surrender all these names at Jesus’s feet!
